Does anyone uses autocad here?

Manu

New member
I copied some files from one hard disk to another (when i did a format to my disk) and now i am not able to open some autocad drawings i have there...
When i try to open them this message appears inside autocad:
"AUTOCAD MESSAGE
Cannot find the specified drawing file.
Please verify that the files exists"

Then a "select file" window appears but the same message appears after...

Does anyone has any ideia what this is?

(All the other files are ok, so i don't think that changing files from HD to HD has anything to do with it)

same version of autocad? all the files needed for that project?
all legal copies of the software?

any of those could cause issues

I am almost certain the version is the same.
All the files i think are there. those are *.dwg files.
The software is cracked...not legal.
Maybe with another cracked version...

Do you think beeing illegal software might be the problem?

in college I couldn't afford a lot of the software like AutoCad and such.

with the cracked software, I ran into these problems a lot.

I can't say that is definitely the case, just thinking of my own personal experiences.

So this is your damn come back? Gone for days and all you can say is "same version of autocad?" You suck.

That would be specified in the alert message ("....incompatible version...")

You are assured that the files are there, right? Try opening the drawing files thru autocad AND then try opening them by double-clicking on the drawing file itself thus launching Autocad.

Also make sure that you didn't move your .dwg files and are now trying to open .bak files.

There is a variety of things that could've caused this, and it's hard to solve by not being there.

Warik, I'm home from work today, so I am spending some time on here.
didn't know anyone noticed :)

bullett - I actually really don't do it anymore. now that I actually make money, I just go ahead and buy the software.
in college here was no way I could afford even the student versions of the 3D software.

We thought you were dead. There was some talk on the mod board about throwing a party, but I convinced everyone to hold off until we were sure. Good thing I said something or else we would have had a very embarassing situation on our hands.

Oh yeah... I think they want you to be a mod or something. Don't trust them. It's a trick! They want to brainwa-fdslaj.bskdsa.ds....................

lol

I'm trying to quit elite, and over last weekend the previous two days of this week, I was able to focus on being productive.
today on the other hand, I decided there wasn't much point in me being at work and am staying home "sick"

I am actuallly pretty much never sick, but the places I have worked must think me the sickliest person ever since I'm out "sick" a lot.
I should really just call in "bored"
