Does anyone remember Corky the Retard?

He was from some show on television, you know the one. Anyways, I was laughing today with my training partner in between sets about a commercial he did. Note that Corky is retarded in real life and talks in a retard kinda way. The commercial is Corky sitting there and saying:

"I know what it's like not to be popular in a crowd. But I'd never do drugs to fit in. I'm smarter than that."

I guess you kinda have to visualize it but it's pretty fuckin' funny if you do. I have got to stop mocking people with disabilities. While tempting, I'm certain that I cannot put "Nathan is an overachiever when it comes to teasing retards" on job applications.

Doesn't that seem like a rather off-color thing to have a DS person say, from a PC perspective? It seems kind of like, "Hey, I'm obviously a few marbles short of some Chinese Checkers and I don't have all that much in the IQ category, I still don't do drugs."

He has a band? If they call themselves The Retards I'm totally gonna check them out. Are all the other members retarded? i wish i were retarded. It must be so much fun. I'd love to be made fun and not understand that that is what is going on. In all honesty though, I think the nicest people I've ever met were retarded. Pretty much if you're named "Corky" you're destined to be retarded. You don't hear "hey look, that's Corky the accountant", or, "hey everyone, meet Corky the District Attorney". Actually adding the term "the retard" after the name "Corky" is rather redundant.

Nope mainly he would just ride his bike for exercise, it was quite a site when blazed up on some good blueberry strand...

Bill Clinton also lives down the street, and at my old gym I use to play ball with Rick Fox in his off season...Either way I would not mind getting down and doing some drugs or hitting a club up with Bill and Corkster, now thats rolling with a heavy crew.
