I am not a lawyer but the answer is probably not, unless you can claim that you were just attempting to flee and "accidentally" hit the person. From my understanding, generally in order to use deadly force your life or someone else's must be in eminent danger. So if the guy is standing in the middle of a parking lot and you have the ability to drive the other way to avoid danger I don't think you could claim self defense if you intentionally ran him down.JustinM said:if someone comes after you with a baseball bat and you are sitting in a car, can you legally run them over for self defense?? thanks a lot guys
