Im wondering if anyone here uses creatine and am curious on what you think of it. When should you take it? Before, During, After?? I also know once you stop you lose alot of your size but do you loose your strength?? What would happen if i just used it over the summer, will i see weight gain and alot more stregth?? Will it also make me a faster sprinter??

Thanks for your time and please give as much information as you want, it will all be very usefull to me.

The first time I took creatine was about 2 years ago, and it honestly help me jumpstart my weight lifting. At the time I started taking it I had just started squats and deadlifts.

To answer you question about speed...I had raced a buddy in the 100 meter at the end of my freshman year of college. He had been a sprinter in high school. In the end he probably won by a good 20 feet. It wasn't even close. I started taking creatine monohydrate that summer while doing some core lifting (squats, deads, bench etc.) and when we raced in the beginning of my sophomore year, we were dead even. Much of this could be attributed to the creatine, but a lot was due to the squats that I had started doing on my small soccer frame of a body. That summer I also gained about 10 lbs, from 165 to 175. Maybe 3 lbs. of that was muscle. The rest was water weight. It will puff you up a little, but it was worth it for me.

On my second dose of creatine, I took CEE from Anafit, which is a sponsor of this site. This creatine didn't particularly give me great energy in the gym like the monohydrate, but it sure did allow me to push up the weight. I hit a 405 lb. deadlift last summer, which is something that I have yet to accomplish while off of the stuff. I gained about 5 lbs. while on cee, and most of that was definitely muscle. The lack of energy could have been from the fact that I had been on creatine before. Your first time on it should be the most noticable in energy and overall performance.

Creatine should be used by what it is, a supplement. As long as you train right, you will see the results you want. It will help you along the way.

I have been off creatine for about 8 months now, and it's great to know that I can lift 4 days a week and still make gains without any supplementation. It will be that much better when I decide to get on something in the near future. Right now, I'm about 7 lbs. heavier than I was during my last creatine cycle, because I'm bulking. My strength is around the same. I'll probably get back on cee toward the end of the summer after my cut.

good read here, http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/koch1.htm

I use creatine mono right now. My second time to use it. I did notice the first time when going off that I felt a little more sluggish in the gym, but I still kept my stregth. Creatine mono is so cheap, it's hard to resist. Im on for another week, then I'll be off for awhile. Good stuff IMO, and I don't get as much bloat as a lot of ppl say.

I have been using Creatine for a couple of years now, i sometimes take it before and some times after my workout depending on what the specific product told me to do. i HAve tried about 3 diferent types of monohydrates; my first from Twinlab, second from GNC ownbrand, and a Brazilian one ( cant remember brand). At first the twin lab did give me an increase in strength, but i did not get much immediate size. On the other hand it gave me Diarrhea only a couple of hours after taking it, (later i learnt that you have to look for creatines that are micronized, or some shit like that.) Brazilian creatine, CRAP. GNC, almost as good as the Brazilian. As a whole from creatine i did feel an increase in strength and some bloating. Creatine is no magicall product. You wont take it and five min later see your arm increase. One summer of decent workout will provide you with a resonable increase in strength if done properly but probably mostly because of simply working out (but creatine will help). For me Creatine was not at all as i expected but then again i just simply had bad luck with the selection of my creatines. I hope to one day find a good monohydrate which does not make me shit myself. I have decided to take Cell mass which is not Monohydrate but Creatine Ethyl Ester Malate, it has come highly recomended. Has anyone had some good or bad experinces with this product?
