does anyone here have a high GI drink post workout..?

the diet board is all about maltodextrin, dextrose etc in post workout protein shakes...what about the ladies here?
Is it necessary to have whilst on a cutting diet? Ive been having a high GI nrg drink after weight, but dont know how benifical it is for me?
Anyone have a better alternative?

when cutting, you have to stay within your daily carb gram limit-if you have no other carbs, you can have some postworkout-otherwise, you don't have to
