Does anyone have an opinion on Ecco shoes?

I probably wouldn't spend that much on a pair though, you can get quality shoes for half that price.

no doubt. i'm generally not about spending more. in fact, i rarely buy clothes at all. but i was out on saturday and decided to head down the road to nordstrom's and just buy something (my last pair of casual shoes were falling apart, and then i tore out the already-flopping-around insoles. that was weeks ago, and i've been wearing sneakers around since then). this time, i felt like buying something more upscale, but i hope they offer some tangible benefit above and beyond something less expensive (in terms of comfort and durability). if not, i can always return them.

the last pair(s) i had were timberlands ($90-$100).

what brands do you recommend in the sub $100 range?

Well I'm not exactly sure how much time you spend in dress shoes. As a college student, I only use them for holidays, family occasions, interviews, etc...so I'll head to the mall and see whatever looks and feels good for around 75-100 beans. You might benefit more from purchasing a higher-quality pair for everyday use than I.

I usually hit up Aldo Shoes: http://www.aldoshoes.com/ The one pair I had held up a good year and a half.

Look at Cole Haan. They are very comfortable, last long, and are priced reasonably. Look pretty sweet too.

Ecco is good stuff bor. I have about 6-7 pairs of them.

You can wear them with almost anything, they are comfortable, and they last forever. They're pretty cheap, too; I've never paid over $200 for a pair.

I wear them to work, to the construction site, out and about, etc.

Cole Haan's are ok shoes, they have all kinds of stuff ranging from el cheapo to a few hundred bucks.

nice boots. No, don't tell me what you wear em with, my imagination will fill in the blanks :Perk:

I have a few pairs of eccos, verrry comfortable. One's my black interview/wedding/funeral/upscale shoes that I can wear all day.
aldos feel cheap, heavy and hurt your toes.. but you can afford more of them.

thank you for zee responses. i'm feeling more confident in my decision to purchase them. i might even keep 1 or both pair. :)

love em, got a couple pairs recently, SOOOOOOO light! easy on the tootsies for travel as they are really cool and easy to care for too.

If you get too good at golf, you';re not working hard enough.
