fuck no. I went to the tatoo show in lacrosse this year, and they had people put hooks in there back and then hang them from the rafters in the coloseim. It was fucking sick as hell. Skin is amazing as it has high tensil strength, but you can cut through it with a piece of papaa

Not that in particular... but I have seen some women that it does look good on.

However its more of a one time.... be able to say you been there.... type of thing

Im down with tats and piercings, but that is a bit much... Your risking infection and other issues when you get that hardcore.

I dig it. But I come from a pretty white trashish background. I used to be into piercings but I had to grow up and get a "real job". So I took em out.

As far a infection risks. Not bad if you keep up on it with the alcohol and iodine for a few months.
 
No, I'm not into tats and piercings much. I guess there are some that I like (I like gals with little diamonds in their noses and jeweled belly buttons, and some tats are nice on some people)

That is pretty hardcore and I don't think it is very artful in any way.

I figure it was probably done for a photoshoot for a tatt/piercing mag/website. So it's just another form of art. I totally get people not being into it but calling them sick or stupid makes me laugh.

It's no more disgusting than a girl having her body sliced open and some bags of liquid being stuffed in so she can conform to some media ideal of beauty. Or getting nose jobs, face lifts, tummy tucks, etc...

The real beauty to me of tattooes and piercings is that you are simply adding not changing. Piercings can easily be removed and tattooes can be covered or removed if desired. If done right they are a statement of an individuals ideals, beliefs, and dreams. If done for the wrong reasons they can be very tacky and offsetting.

The thing that really bugs me is the lack of tolerance for one artform and the complete acceptance of others.

I have tolerance for all artforms. I'm not a fan of action painting but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate it's place in art history. :artist:
