It was a way to get nudes without the chick worrying about you keeping the pics and showing them off. Might be for teens but it was a good tool for getting pics

Not easily retrievable, but if you are a comp whiz then you could pull them out.

I don't know about iPhone's, but for a droid, just plug it into your comp with a mini HDMI cable, and open "view folders". iOS will be right there and easily viewable.
