does anybody else get this pain?

Hi,
Whenever I go to work out my arms on arm day I start with barball curls. When I do them I get this tremendous pain in the outside of my forearm, like a pulling on a muscle. It hurts like a bitch. I also get it with preacher curls somewhat whenever I am bringing the bar up at the end of the motion. Most ppl who I have talked to in teh gym say they get it too, but I have it really bad (its in both arms and hurts so bad that sometimes I have to stop my workout). How can I help this? What the hell is it? Note: I even got it when I went to do back yesterday and I was pullups and chinups, I could feel that muscle just throbbing.
 
This pain you speak of usually occurs when one is a beginner or when one is increasing the weight for the first time or trying a new exercise, basically your forearm ligaments and tendons cant support or are not use to the weight being used for your bi or back workouts, either deal with it because you will grow accustomed to this or stop the exercises that agitate the area. peace nigga
 
I've had this same problem a few weeks ago. I got this pain in my forearms that felt like I was tearing a muscle. It hurt to do anything that involved a strong grip. It was so bad for a few days that I couldn't sleep at night though the pain without some painkillers:mad:


Mine was caused by playing football and forearming mofos in the head.... but was further aggrivated in the gym.

You need to take a week off...of all upper-body exercises..... just do some cardio/legs abs/and lower back.

I took my week off upperbody and I'm back now with no pain.... and stronger too..... I guess I needed the recovery time
 
Tendonitis in the forearn, kinda like shin splints. I get it doing bent bar preachers if I go heavy!! Was so bad I was geting prednazone shots 3 years ago.
 
Upright cable rows give me this pain all the time but only on the third set and only on the left forarm.
Good news is it's getting less intense per Havoc's comments regarding growing accustomed as my left catches up to the right.
 
my forearms feel like they are splitting up and my elbows hurt too.
it got so bad that I had to go from the shiny chrome dumbells all the way down to the pink rubber coated ones!
that's like 2lbs difference!
my tricep kickbacks are suffering as a result.

no way - they are right there on the special rack. I just push the old ladies out of the way and ignore their anguished screams of "good lord, my legs!" and I just work it like a mofo.

most people there are just showing off and they use those dirty weights with the multiple plates.
they obvisouly have no sense of style since they won't use the chrome ones that are all one peice.

in can get frustrating sometimes b/c the chrome ones will mathc nearly any of my outfits, but it is hard to get leggings and leotards that match the pink ones - so I have to plan ahead
