well I have some kind of kidney problem, there is a ton of blood in my urine. im waiting to get some tests back to find out what the hell is wrong.

anyway she said to really limit my protein intake, so that means eatting a lot of carbs. right now im cutting high protein low carbs & fat.

so now what do I do is there such a thing as a carb diet that still can produce muscle and keep u lean?

please let me know cause I got to change my diet ASAP

If you must up your carbs, you're gonna have to keep them totally clean. That means brown rice, not white, no pasta, wheat or whole grain bread, not white, and oatmeal.

You might give NJStacked's diet a try.

thanks Gymtime and doofy for your quick help! hey gymtime where do I find that diet u are talking about?

BTW- the doctor wants me to cut my protein down to like 50g a day and I weigh 185lb.....what the hell am I going to doooooo????:bawling:

NEVERMIND GYMTIME I SEE IT:)

50 a day? Jesus boy. Does that mean you can still eat a normal amount of calories where the difference will come in carbs and fats?

I read on another board that people who are on restricted protein intakes due to kidney problems benefit the most if the protein is the absolute best quality. The protein that was mentioned was Cross-flow Microfiltration Whey Isolate, I believe this is due to it's unsurpassed Biological value. The reasoning behind this is that because you are only eating low amounts of protein, and this is a high quality protein, your body will absorb very much of it and therefore your kidney's only have to flush out a little bit. Compared to low quality protein's, for example, in the case of taking in the same low amount of rice protein each day your kidney's will have to get rid of much more excess Nitrogen due to it's unavailability.

This may not be true, so don't view this as advice, just something to look into, maybe.
