Doberman -dog owners

i have a doberman pinsher now 1 yr and 2 months. now i go to work in the morning sop my bro and my dad luka fer him. sometimes he stays alone in the garden for 3 hrs sometimes 10 misn. I come back from work around 8 hrs later and spent the afternoon with him. Now my neighbours have complained that he barks a lot. now the problem is we have a back alley where people go and park their cars. Everytime someone goes he barks which is normal. now Last time he was barking liek hell so i tokk in the back alley to see what is happening and i see a bunch of kids smoking next to my CAR !!!! so i told them to fuck off and not to come here again.
A while ago my neighbour's house was broken into it. I didnt live ehre then. But since one year no one had a problem within 2 miles radius.

So guess what my neighbours do? they go and complain to the council that my dog barks too much!!!! now he is a doberman pinsher, they are bLOODY GUARD DOGS>>>>!!!!

so this women came to my house today from the council and i am supposed to call her. anything like that happened to u guys?

well ppl have complained so that's why they have called the council.

Yes, I had an Outside German Shep and she barked at any anything making noise within a 3 house radius at night. Tried everything to break her of it.
But she was just doing what that type dog does naturally.

Sold her to a Cool Dude with property and another Male Shep to breed her because it wasn't fair that I keep the neighborhood awake almost every night and I didn't want to keep her indoors.

Being kept awake by a barking dog sucks and isn't fair to the neighbors regardless of what you think. I have been on both sides and neither is good.
Either keep her inside or move to a place where the dog won't bother people..

well the dog doesnt bark in the night. i know it cause im there.

He barks during day time.
If he barks a lot in the night i go and check it out and if he keeps going on then i will just the muzzle on so it is not bad
it is mainly during daytime that he barks

but i am wondering if the council has any rights. I know that if the dog barks in the night then it can be quite a nuisance. but it doesnt happen then as nobody walks in the back alley.

Barking Dogs Suck, both day and night if you are the neighbor being forced to hear it for more than 5 min.. Especially if its every day..

We have 3 small dogs, live in a neighborhood and our yard is average sized and fenced in. When we let them out for 10 min or so multiple times a day they are usually quiet. If they start barking(which they do) at the neighbors or other dogs in the ajoining yards, we will go out and correct them immediately. Especially early in the morning or late at night. Usually we are outside with them while they are out, so its easy to correct.

I don't like to see people pen up any dogs on porches, or tied up or even loose in small backyards "all day long alone".
This is usually the cause for barking complaints IMO.

Crate train them if you are gone during the day and you will not have this issue.

well now he is quite big. I bought him a nice 6X4 wooden sheds with carpet and all that so it keeps nice and warm. he goes there to sleep or to rest. the thing he doesnt bark at anything and everything. there is always a reason.
When i sleep during the day and he barks iknow it can be a real pain but i quickly go and see him cause i know him and there is always a reason

It's a trick bro. They are setting you up so you drive down to city council and get busted for driving the car. You know those two cops are watching you. They probably made those kids go back there in hopes you would run over them with the car and they would catch you since you don't have a licenese.

lol, nope im not driving. i just a muzzel on and he keeps quite. by the way went last week to see what happens with my court case and they made me wait 3 hrs to tell me that i need to come back again. B#astard. most probably they dnt have anything yet

DON"T MUZZEL THE DOG! Thats fucking cruel! I have had Dobe's all my life. You can train them to stop barking very easily. It's a behavior that they don't know they are not supposed to do. So you have to teach them that, not punish them by restraining them. I had a dobe I adopted at 2 yrs old that was a barker. The former owner was clueless and tried bark collars, muzzels, etc. Nothing worked because they were all punishments that the dog did not understand. We had him trained in less than a week. Find a competant animal behaviorist, they can help you the most.
