Didnt know I had the wrong size pin until I unsheathed it and was ready to go... person at the counter gave me wrong size after saying she gave me 1.5inch, my bad shouldnt have trusted that, I got 5/8inch, so im shooting into my quad, i flexed it first not much fat there can feel solid muscle under with a bit of fat so went ahead with the shot went up to the hilt, the usual BA pain is there after the shot so a good sign I hit muscle?

1.5 needle length is plenty

Some recommend 5/8 for quads, I know my quads have Zero fat, but I sill prefer a 1 inch pin for that injection.

The pain is equal in my opinion 5/8 or 1 inch, neither is a bargain.

yeah, size doesn't matter when i comes to pin size, the only bit that can hurt sometimes is when it goes through the skin, so it doesn't matter whether its 18g or 28g. personnal preference for all shots is a 1.5" 21g.

shooting into fat will not waste the shot--it will just absorb slower. If you have pain from the needle itself, it means you are close to a nerve. You should feel your that you are in the muscle not by pain but by the difference in texture.

pain when injecting is a different story--it depends on what gear your using an kinda part of the bargain

naw injection was painless just afterwards i guess the BA content maybe.
