Do you need stress in your life?

some people can't stand stress. some people strive on stress, pressure. since I got this new job, the pace here is very lax. in my last job, I felt the whole company was on my shoulders. I was in the spotlight and my every move was watched because I made a difference. now with this new job, I am back to being a little pea in a pod. with the relaxed atmosphere, I feel that in life in general, that I have slowed down quite a bit. I guess I DO strive on stress. procrastination helps me out, a bit. but just the adrenalin rush of getting things done with the quickness because there IS a deadline or that it is detrimental is what I miss.

you speak by experience, I presume. I was referring to stress to no stress. if there was no worry in the world, could you go on? stress to me is like a challenge.

good point Jenn. having stress in your life and being stressed are two completely different things. just wanted to point that out. I feel like I am on top of my game when I got some stress all up in my grill.

Yes, I need stress, but I'm not stressed out all the time. In fact, I'm very laid back------but I do like deadlines, and to have pressure

Exactamundo. Same here.

Differant kinds of stress, the stress u get from getting fired, failing a class, heartbreak, etc is not stress I want, Ill pass thank you..Deadlines and that are fine and a part of life (as are thee bad ones I guess)

Lol. I've got way too much stress in my life. It would be nicer to have a carefree laid back lifestyle. Although, I do work better under pressure sometimes. I procrastinate too much to not have stress. lol

stress eh?

makes you wonder about the authenticity of "heaven"..how great could a place be if you had nothing to accomplish?..everybodies' happy all the time, nothing to work towards..wtf..how could you achieve goals in heaven?...everybodies' got everything they need..eternal happiness?..I think not..the model doesn't work...

Stress breeds negativity.

I need no negativity in my life.

Now before anyone says anything about murdering people being negative, I say nay. Nay I say.

Killing heathens (note the heathen part) is both therapeutic and tranquil. More people should take up the hobby.

And drinking.

I kinda wonder if Hitler's ideas were not ahead of their times..cull the gene pool and produce a nation of genetically"superior" nationals..he died and the Soviets won WWII in western Europe...half of europe spent 50 years under the bullshit communist doctrine..well now 50 years later and who wins the winter Olympics medal count?...communism in europe crumples and two generations later(after WWII)the german people are prominent..basically WWII was a Massive "survival of the fittest"...and two generations after we are seeing a nation having grown from utter defeat to emerge again..I don;t think the germans are going to attmept again to establish their hegenomy over Europe..they already have........

From my high school health class. Isn't there two types of stress?

Ustress? and Distress? Or something like that.

Ustress is good for you, and distress is bad for you???

Seriously? Anyone?

I thrive on it. Without it I would lead a boring life. I equate stress with excitement. It's a rush! I can't stand to listen to people cry about stress. The level they cry about is usually nothing. Too stomp around in these boots and maitain a level head is something I've been complemented on time and time again.
