ha! ha! I know several docs personally too, but I also know several criminals ... wonder what that says about me?

I trust my OB/GYN (of almost ten years now) with my life. He's done a very good job of making sure I live a healthy one, so far. I'm also still very good friends with my former Sports Medicine doctor. He gets to kick my butt at golf about twice a year (I so suck at golf).

2 I know right now yes, but a HS guy who went to med school to become a surgeon - if he ever became one - now. He was huge and clumsy.... i wouldn't want him operating.

My dad and 3 of my cousins are thoracic (heart) surgeons. My old mans got quite the success record its impressive.

The family didn't put any pressure on you to become an MD?

well the hypocratic (i know i had to butcher that spelling) oath isn't what it used to be. A lot of doctors don't care the same way anymore. Head em in move em out. i think a healthy doctor patient relationship would make for better medicine in general because it would not only ensure the person trying to heal would do his or her best but also leave a slight more comfortable feeling with the patient.

Would you trust your life in their hands?

My college roomate and longtime friend became a Dr. and I would certainly trust him.

Daughter is surgeon. She shifts into "operation mode" and becomes this body mechanic that works miracles with a laser.

Its cool to have a close physician friend like that. I don't have any yet. We all just got started, but I am sure there will be many.

Yes I have a doctor friend hes a scrawny red headed guy i hardly see him around because he works such long hours.hes real pale because he spends most of his life working in the hospital and never gets any sun,and hes kinda boring too because he has no time for hobbies,the dude really needs to hit the gym and put on some muscle but i guess he doesnt have the time or energy.i would most certainly trust him with my life he's very intelligent and dedicated to his work.
