Hell yes….. I participate in 5 Martial Arts classes per week… I have to push hard and hide how hard it is for me as my daughters train also. I can’t hide the fact that I totally drench my gi though!!!
My sensei kicks are ass in class. He is a big proponent of conditioning. We train for full contact not point fighting. Many point fighting schools would be hard pressed to give you any kind of cardio workout, not the case for our school!
Does it work…. Hell yes. I am 5’11”, 211lb 5.8% bf.
