Well...if you are just being you...then do what you want. You are not perfect...

Being a southern boy...sure...bring flowers. Not too many though...unless you know her very well. If you want to be very romantic...then plan ahead. Call the florist and have them deliver a few roses to your table that you have already reserved at the restaurant. When you walk in the door and head to your table...just see her face when she notices that her table is the only one in the restaurant that has flowers on it...

Hey...if you are that sweet...and she doesn't dig you...ever other woman in the place will.

NOT a dozen roses....and NOT red. Maybe a single rose....white, pink, or yellow. However from what little bit I know about women it is more of the gesture than the actual gift. Most would appreciate some hand picked flowers...rather than some commercial ones with the price tag.

As an added twist if you decide to give her a gift....give it at the END of the date. For 2 reasons. First by that time you will have a pretty good feel for her and how she would react to the gift, and also whether you want to give them to her. And 2...to quote a line from Finding Forrester...

"The secret to a woman's heart is an unexpected gift at an unexpected time"

No woman expects to get flowers at the end of the date.
