Do you EXIST or LIVE.....

PBR

do you measure your life by how many breaths you take? or how many moments take your breath away?...just to provoke a thought of where you are right now...i know we all vacillate between the two from time to time, just checking in...

"every man dies, but not every man really lives"...(MG in Braveheart)

Definitely both.

I live life to the fullest. I spend my time tuning my body so that I will be healthy and live long. I also make sure to partake in events that make me appreciate being here on earth. I know nothing other than living life to the fullest!

every breath I take, and I try and make every one the best I possibly can,I enjoy life as much as possible and am happy with all the things in life I can control

Why has that song from Top Gun just popped into my head. :Chef: :tuc:

Cogito ergo sum

All in all I wouldn't really want to be alive if life's purpose was only to exist. There are many variables a person could throw into this question which can gravitate them towards one moreso than another....but it ultimately depends on one's state of mind.

Every night I say ...
"Thank you God for today - It was great!
And I look forward to tomorrow!"

I can't say that I do that. I watch my parents go through much suffering that they don't deserve. It breaks my heart. I just pray for the strength to deal with all the pain.

Hmmm, I'd say right now I am taking a risk that could prove to be truly an exciting future. However in doing it, right now I basically exist. Everything I do involves either working or recovering from an all-nighter at work.

Its funny how things change within the 3 months since I posted in this thread. I'm still living everyday to the fullest.

I'm taking a risk that could lead to a wonderful & peaceful & very busy life. Also taking a risk w/ my personal life as well. The next few months and year should be a fun ride.

Living for the most part at times with contest prep you go on auto pilot and just do what needs to be done.

As we've discussed extensively on the ladies' board - it is truly a challenge living your life while pursuing all-encompassing things like competition because you are literally training 24/7 for months at a time. Then when its all over, you have to deal w/ 1) the rebound and 2) the anti-climax.

Even after going thru several competitions, it still becomes very hard to lead some sort of a balanced life. All I can say is pay attention to the things around you while you are in prep. It may seem like that is the most important thing on the planet, but you can be blinded to the amazing daily life things that go on around you because you are so caught up in the prep shit.

Its a challenge but I would just say keep an even keel, an eye on your goal, but the other eye on life. :)
