Do you carry a cellphone?

Nowadays I'm sure that more people carry cellphones than those who don't it seems.

My ex told me the other day that I need to get one, so she can call me whenever she needs to. (about the kids of course) LOL When I was married to her, it made sense to have one. Now that I'm divorced.........the last thing I really want to do is be "easily accessible" to her or anyone else.

And suppose you're dating a few different girls at the same time, it's a definite negative to be carrying one on your person. The myriad of embarrassing possibilities abound. Even if you do have it set on vibrate.

I should probably get one and keep it in my car and just use it for emergencies. But I don't want to have to be dealing with people I don't necessarily want to be talking to (on my time) and paying for it at the same time.

I'm a quiet person, I don't like to be bothered. LOL

Do you carry a cell?
 
I'VE HAD ONE SINCE I WAS 17. BUT I WENT TO THE MOVIES LAST WEEK AND SAW SOME 13 YEAR OLDS WITH THEM. DAMN, WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO??? AND THE LITTLE GIRLS WERE EVEN WEARING TOO MUCH MAKE UP.



I COULDNT LIVE WITHOUT MY CELL PHONE. I USE ABOUT 3K-5K MINUTES PER MONTH.

I use my cell as my home phone #. I almost always have it on me-- and if not in my purse, in my truck. About half of the calls I make are long distance so it ends up being considerably cheaper than using my house phone. Plus I'm always running around so it's nice for people to be able to get ahold of me. It's also nice to know that if something happens to me and I need help, I can track someone down.
 
GET A CELL. THE AMAZING THING ABOUT A CELL PHONE IS THAT YOU DONT HAVE TO ANSWER IT. JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE IT DOESNT MEAN YOU ARE EASILY ACCESSIBLE. IF SOMEONE CALLS ME AND IT DOESNT BENEFIT ME IN SOME WAY (I.E..MONETARILY) OR IF ITS NOT SOMEONE I WANT TO TALK TO, I DONT ANSWER IT. SIMPLE AS THAT.

Don't have, nor want, one. I find them annoying, rude, and quite the disturbance. People know how to reach me if they need me.

I hear ya Kayne,
My 12 year old daughter has one, and it appears to give her the same feeling that steroids give me. Sheer pleasure! LOL She loves that thing.

And yes, you don't have to answer it. But consider the question I put forth earlier about dating different girls. Then what?

I have one so my faimly can reach me and because during certain stages of Readiness my unit has to be able to reach me 24-7 in case somethign happens and we deploy

I dont really care to much to carry it around but it helps out in case i need someone to pick me up if my rides fall through for drinking to much or car problems

I carry a cell phone and a pager.

My cell is off 23+hours/day... I only have it turned on when I'm making a call. The main reason I have it is for the message service. I'm quite frugal with giving out my cell phone number... a lot of people have that number. I'd go mad if I was interrupted throughout the day from all those calls. A few times/day, I'll just sit down at a land line and check my messages... return the ones I want to.

There's only two people who have the number to my pager... my girlfriend and work. If I get a page... I know its from someone who I want to talk to.
 
My cell phone is my baby. I go to school about 45 minutes from home, so i need it. Not to mention i am ALWAYS gone somewhere on weekends and mom never knows where.

No, I didn't buy it for my daughter, my ex did. And she does wear some makeup already, which is kinda frightening to me actually. LOL But, I keep close tabs on her even though she doesn't live with me anymore. She's not cruising the malls like many her age, more like spending alot of her time on MSN Messenger it seems.
I'm going to go ahead and get a cell, but just be low key about anyone knowing I have one.
 
went from a pager in high school to a cell... i set my rings to specific people so i know whether to answer the phone or not!!!
 
you think having just a cell from your job is bad? I got handed a cellphone, AND a pager, and now they just upgraded to two-way pagers...just what i need, my boss able to send a text message to my belt just because he is bored sitting reading throught his email :rolleyes:

But in general I am never really home, so I use my cell # as my ONLY phone number, and if I forget it for a day or the battery dies out I feel naked...

I got a Samsung T-100 with color screen about 4 months ago! But now the novelty has weared off! I HATE THE SIGHT OF IT, but I keep it with me all day long.
 
I never have my cell phone on because I have people calling me at the worse times. I only use it to make outbound calls and for emergencies. Sorry, I can't talk when I am in a store, in traffic, or when I'm in a restaurant or theater. :rolleyes:
