yep, if youre thinking of getting one do not!!! It is totaly inaccurate and you are better off getting tested at one of the gyms by your house using the bfat callipers.

yes, they are not reliable for mesuring your BF

but when you want to see if you BF is lower than it was last week it is useful

(relative measurement rather than absolute)

I ordered a Tanita and it came in this past Monday. It was a fairly expensive one, too ($144.00). I have been getting on it 3x a day at different times of the day and night to record the reading. The BF% is all over the place. It varies from 1%-6% no matter the time or day or night, so the accuracy of the scale is very, very unreliable.
