Do thyroid increases or reduces your gains while on-cycle?

It is widely known that in normal, NON-steroid using people, thyroid burns off both fat and muscle.

Some drug profiles say thyroid, when used in a bulking cycle, actually increases muscle gains.

But several bodybuilders Ive talked say thyroid reduces muscle, even on cycle.

Who to believe?

I can't see any reason it would increase gains. It increases protein synthesis, but so do steroids.

I've had it eat muscle off me even on a heavy cycle

It is reported, in medical literature that in increases the rate of protein turnover, both increasing synthesis and catabolism at the same time.

Steroids do this aswell though remember, they just increase synthesis more than degradation..........

I've tried a low dose t3 in a bulker because it's supposed to help but honestly I couldn't tell a difference so you're probably better off not fucking with your thyroid unless it's needed like on a cutter.

I'm doing very well on 25mcg a day right now. I take 15mcg in the morning on and empty stomach and 10 more before I go to bed. More energy and my strength has gone up and have lost about 1% in bodyfat over 3 weeks with no change in diet or training.

Nice results! Are you on a bulker aswell? Have you ever had your thyroid function tested?

Supposedly at low doses it increases protein synthesis more than catabolism. I'm far from an authority on the subject though.

it just depends where your T3 is to start. if you bring it up into the high normal range it may be helpful, anything more than that, and it will probably be too catabolic
