do the anti "E" drugs effect your libido?

Sounds like and excuse me if i am wrong about this but from what i have been reading on this forum is that there can be a negative effect on the body when taking anti "E's", loss of the libido.
HRT tries to stabilize the hormone's with in the body essentially to provide a better well being throughout the aging process. is there a way to keep a high libido when taking the anti "E" such as aromasin or arimidex?

Estrogen is an essential hormone in males just like testosterone is. The key is in how much is ideal. Many middle aged men or those that are overweight have a tendancy to produce more E AND have low T which creates an unfavorable balance. Going on TRT and adding more T invariably means there is more T to aromatize and E can go even higher. If you are taking a proper dose of anti-e you should still have E levels within normal range regardless of what you test levels are. A common problem is to take too much anti-e causing a drop in E or too little anti-e allowing E to get to high and both scenarios can affect labido.

i appreciate the quick response, being that we r dynamic beings and ever changing from day to day. what are the static numbers of "E" levels for middle age males. is there a guide line?

My libido drops from just smelling on an anti E tab.

Yes they absolutely affect libido. Potentially dramatically. They can raise it or lower it, and, its very individual and impossible to predict. You need to keep E within normal levels on TRT so they may be a necessity and you just have to use trial and error. Arimidex is most likely the best choice but you will have to find what works for you.

Labs may vary slightly on what they state is normal range is but typically something like 7.6 - 42.6 pg/ml is considered normal range.

Ru sure about that E range? On my recent labs the range for adult males was 40-115 pg/ml.

As I said it will vary depending on lab. Google it. 40-115 seems high from what I have seen. Sure your not looking at pmol/l range?

I double checked and its definitely pg/ml. Googled it and there seems to be a lot of variance as to what's normal range.
