Do Scary Movies Ruin Your Quality of Life?

most fictional movies aren't scary anymore, which sucks. The only scary movies are documentaries nowadays. I was watching a documentary about anaesthesia awareness (when the anaestheologist gives just enough drug to paralyze you so you can't move or talk but not enough to kill your pain receptors or knock you out), and all the stories of being tortured and not being able to do anything was somewhat scary.

Just watched a Documentary,"An unknown Encounter"which chronicles a real life Haunting of a woman where the entity was mean as hell and terrorized the shit out of her as well as the Paranormal investigation team she called in.The thing nearly hung one of the PI's up in the attic with a close-line,and it would follow them home from the woman's house and fuck with them.In one instance,it was turning on and off the gas burners on the stove,and dropped a box of 22 caliber shells on top of it.I was definitely a little unnerved after watching that shit.

Showing my age here, but I remember "Jaws" scared the shit out of me! I went to Hawaii the next summer and was still thinking about it out in the boat. lol

At the time, those special effects, etc. were very realistic.

That's the worst kind of scary because shark attacks actually happen. One time I was bodyboarding in North Carolina and a 12 foot black tip shark swam right under me and turned around and started coming toward me. I don't really remember what happened because I just started paddling and kicking like a big dumbass. I think I set a world record speed getting to shore. I will never enjoy being in the ocean again.

Every time I consider going to South America for a vacation (I would love to go to Machu Picchu, among other sites), I see a documentary on spiders, snakes, and other various critters living in the rain forest which burrow into your flesh.
