Make sure you get a living will or that will never happen. Sometimes even when you have them they are ignored. My mom saw my great aunt die as the medics were putting her in the ambulance... my mom had already given them a copy of the living will. So when my mom got to the hospital she was very surprised to see my aunt alive and talking, hooked up to all sorts of machines. My aunt had on the living will that she wanted absolutely nothing done to keep her alive. Once my mom tracked down another copy of the will, the doctor refused to follow it. The nurse had to actually force the doctor to follow the living will.

My hubby and I just had our lawyer write up the paperwork for our living wills.

WE will not burden each other or our child! I'd take a gun to my head first....
