Ok for security reasons, i have to carry a key with a magnet around with me at work
and i dont like wearing a watch, so i put my watch in my pocket with the magnet. Wellllll i just bought batteries for 2 watches, and now they are both messed up
is it because of the magnet?

technically yes, mostly north and south orientated (compass) magnets disorientate small electronics. the eddy currents produced by the watch battery will eventual eat thru the casing and burn holes in your skin. studies have shown that especially women who wear lotions and fragrances have a 60% chance of developing a skin irritation known as dermatitus-ecolli(infection of skin and bone). the peizo-electric anodes in the battery can eventually cause so much static produced magnetic reflux that an explosion will occur killing the watch wearer.

awesome!!@!!!

soooo if i put my watch in my pocket and a magnet gets hooked on it it can burn a hole in my pants?
and tear my damned watch up?
grrr i bought batteries for two watches on the same day, and put them in my pocket with the dumb magnet thingy and they both stopped working
coincidence???? i think not

Probably not....but I'd be more worried about the effect of the electric signals in your brain.
