Do I need Creatine or a fat burner on my diet?

I'm wondering if either creatine or a fat burner would help me with my diet in anyway. I'm 6'3" 245 at 15% right now. I'm going to do my cut slowly. I'm thinking of 3000 cals for the first couple weeks with about 150-175 total grams of carbs each day. I will be doing HIIT at the track twice a week maybe three times if I feel good. I know everyone here is a fan of CKD but I just can't see myself on 20 or less carbs a day six days straight. I'm going to stick with my higher carbs of 150-175 for the first several weeks and if I hit a wall I'll drop them further. I was wondering if I should waste money on a fat burner or not and also if creatine would help me in anyway while dieting?

If you weigh 245 at 15%, 150g of carbs out of 3000 total cals is not that much anyway.

A fat burner is helpful if you feel hungry while cutting. Appetite suppression can be a huge plus when you're trying to lose weight.

Creatine won't help you lose weight but it will increase your endurance during workouts, and help you get through them better on days when you feel less than 100% from cutting.

As always, if you use a fat burner, (and ESP. creatine AND a fat burner) you're going to have to drink a TON of water. But that will help you lose weight too, so it's not all bad :)

Just like all of us that bulk I'm scared to death to lose an ounce of muscle now that I'm cutting. I spent 12 months putting on 45 pounds. I'm hoping to stay above 200 lean mass that is the most important thing for me. I'm at 15% right now so that means I'm 208 of lean mass. That gives me 8 pounds to work with which isn't much. I know that I will lose some lean mass no matter what that's what everyone says but I want to do what ever I can to keep it less than 8 pounds. I'm doing the HIIT like I mentioned to hopefully aid in that plus I'm not going to nuts with the diet. I'm not starving myself and I'm not cutting carbs to the point of causing problems. I just don't see how 20 or less carbs a day can be good for you, even on CKD. I read an article by a very good trainer Christian Theabadeau (spell) and after trying several different diets over like 4 months he dropped from 18% to 4 or 5%. He said that fo all the different strategies of diet and training that he hated the super low carb times. He feels that it hurt his muscle and his strength. He said in review that he wished he had never dropped below 125 carbs a day, which to me really makes sense.

Finally who can recommend a very good creatine brand or style and how to take it on a low carb diet? Same question with fat burners, best brand and value.

I have never cut and I am currently doing so. I put on about 15lbs of good muscle over the past few months. I never really used anything other than protein supplement and for one month used TRAC creatine. That stuff is awesome. My strength went through the roof. I was so much stronger in everything I did especially I was able to level off all my bench to about the same weight. I have been off of it for about a month and really didnt lose too much weight that I put on or strength. I lost a little but I am still much better now than I was before I ever took it. I was thinking about using it again prob at the beginning of May to put on some more good muscle but I am trying to burn that little area of flab around my waist that I put on from bulking. The one thing that I can tell you is that it will get you a little beloated but not much. But I am just going by my personal use. Your muscles just look so much fuller.

wetback thanks for the reply is the TRAC creatine the best you've tried how did you decide on it? Also what about N02 is that worth taking while on a diet?

TRAC is overpriced. All you need is Pure micronized Creatine. Most brands pack it with unneeded accessories. Just make sure you take it with a high GI carb right after your workout to aid in delivery. Check your PMs.

NO2 is a waste of money.

Throw in a fat burner once you get your diet and cardio down, and once you hit a plateau. If you combine a caloric defict, cardio, and a fat burner all at once the chances of losing some muscle increases. Thermorexin seems to be a good choice.

TRAC creatine is a bit expensive but I only pay $35 for it. It lists for like $60 at the GNC but I get it from the Vitamin Shoppe. I have never tried any other kind of creatine. I will most likely be taking it again. I like the results and the way it reacted with my body. In terms of knowing why I want to take that specific creatine I just did research on forums and asked a ton of people who have used other creatines and TRAC. I found that it was the one that overall was the best. Everyone will have different opinions on what is good and what is bad but when it comes down to it you have to be confortable taking it.

I really think it all depends on the person who is using it. Some people react different to certain types of creatine. TRAC did it for me and I will be using it again hands down but I can see how some people would say another brand of creatine is good too.
