Do I have a hernia?

I was doing heavy leg presses last thursday and while going up I experienced a sharp extreme pain in the area between your waistline and your dick. That night I felt fine except my right sack was slightly hurting. The next day while in the middle of doing heavy t-bar rows, I experienced the same sharp feeling.

I've heard that if you have a hernia you have like a lumpy spot on your ab area. Or you have a lump on one of your sacks. My stomach area looks completely normal and the sacks feel normal

However it has been about 5 days since the leg press incident, and I still have some slight pain in my right sack.

Will this just go away? thanks

LOL...how many sacks do you have?

There are a few kinds of hernias, the most common is when part of your GI tract comes through your abdominal muscles and gets pinched...this the lump on the ab area.

You might have a hernia, but I doubt it. I WOULD go get checked by a doctor though...there's no way someone on the internet will be able to make that diagnosis.

Actually, inguinal hernias are the most common in young atheletes(under 40). And most of those are indirect, meaning the hernia extends into the scrotum. Sometimes, the hernia will actually go back on its own. If your experiencing pain, its possible that whats going on. I'd go to a doctor in any case.

I would visit a doctor before you workout again.

I personally had a right inguinal hernia, that decended into my nut sack. It was pretty nasty, like having a giant 3rd potatoe nut. Luckily it didn't hurt much.

I would say that if you don't feel or see anything on the outside of your budy, you probably don't have a full blown hernia. But there might be a chance you have a slight rupture in the intestinal wall, but nothing is coming out yet.

Regardless, go see a doctor! :)
