do i confront or not

This is a long one but me and a mate have both liked (maybe even loved) the same girl for ages, but she was like playing us off against each other and manipulating us so we both decided that as she would never view us as boyfriend material to cut off all contact with her. Which we did. But now i've found out my mate is still in touch with her and it hurts so much because i know she made the effort to consciously get in contact with him but not with me. Yes i'm jealous but i'm pissed off with my mate for still being in touch with her. Now i know this girl is a manipulator in my head but my heart feels so much for her.

The thing is do i confront my mate as i only found out they are still in touch through underhand means or do i leave it and pretend all is OK knowing he has sort of betrayed my trust
