Do all steroids cause tumor, and polup growth?

Not an expert but....

When I got into using gear, this was a concern of mine. As I was told....

Steroids (in general) are growth hormones. They are non-specific in that they CAN affect EVERYTHING. If you have tumors or cancer cells, usage over time (especially if using very large doses and for long time periods) COULD trigger a cancerous cell into becoming malignant before its time.

Otherwise, they CAN'T create or cause cancer by themselves. To be safe, if you have a family history of cancer or tumor growth, be very, very careful in what steroids (if any) you use--you likely already have the cells in your body. Othewise, the risk isn't that great if you do your research and use responsibly.

New research in the area of test vs. cancer is pointing in the direction, that cancer cells really does not like large amounts of test. That is true of prostate cancer as well. Rats were injected with large amounts of test to acelerate growth of prostate cancer. It seemed to at first, but as the blood levels of test rose beyond a certain point, the tumors shrunk, this included cancer that had spread outside of the prostate as well. Similiar tests are now being done with human test subjects. Terminal cases with nothing to lose. The studies done with rats help to conclude that it is estrogen not test that aggravates prostate cancer. I'm sorry that I do not have a link to the studies, but I will try to locate similiar research especially those with humans, and post it.

the truth of the matter is that if you are pre-dispositioned to have a cancer, you will get it no matter what, or at least roids might trigger the initial growth...

I did my full share of research before I used steroids. There is still the heck of a lot to learn.
But, bro, that is a silly question. It's almost similar to the question: "do all cigarettes cause cancer?"

Damn, that is interesting. If you locate that study post the link if you don't mind. I would love to look at it.

Thanks

the reason that I asked this question is because of the problems that I ran into after my last cycle.

I had polups on the inside of my sinus cavities that were blocking my sinus's. My doc said that high doses of test will cause increased polup and tumor growth.

Three times has this happened to me, and each time it was after a cycle of test. I am sure many of you will never have to worry about this, as it only seems to happen in people who are pre-disposed to this any way.

I also had a friend, (who would never listen to my advise) who just found a tumor the size of a softball in his ab region. This was his first cycle, of 1gram of test per week for 16 weeks. It did turn out to be non-cancer.

Any one else have any simular trouble?

YES

hey bro, I've been taking testosterone prescribed from a Dr. that is also taking it and he had concerns about polups and told me to get on saw palmetto to combat the effects to your colon. He is also taking saw palmetto! Just wanted you to know what a professional & user does...

ok so I understand that anti-e's can combat tumor growth.

What about polup growth? Polups and tumors are different.

phatbastard- thanks for the advise on saw palmetto.

My next question is, do all AAS (including growth) cause polup growth? I dont want to jump into another cycle and have to go through this shit again.

Thanks for all the help!

I don't know if this answers the question or not... I have never researched polup growth, but here is the link... check it out...
Nowdays there are so many controversial medicine approaches that you don't know whom to trust... One doc said steroids are bad for you even if you have a cancer, another one will want you to take them to supress carcenogenic growth...

http://www.cancerbacup.org.uk/info/steroids.htm

If you don't feel right about taking steroids, don't take it... But most importantly if you have some kind of tumor or polup growth, I would DEFINITELY consult with my doc before you take any shit...
good luck to you...
