ECA = 3% increase in BMR
75% of ECA's effects are seen through its anorectic mode of action(You eat less)
25% of its effects are seen through its thermogenic mode of action.(Beta-adrenoreceptor agonism)
DNP can achieve an increase in 70% in BMR by using Dinitrophenol+lysine which makes it more deliverable to your body.
In fact, I posted several studies by a french scientist who did quite a few tests on DNP which proved the 70% increase in BMR.
The dose however was high(10mg/Kg).
Some of us postulated that the increase in BMR induced by the DNP was linearly related to the amount ingested in (mg/Kg).
2mg/Kg----- 14%
4mg/Kg----- 28%
6mg/kg----- 42%
8mg/Kg----- 56%
10mg/kg--- 70%
So, as you can see, even a measly 200mg/day(Which is barely noticeable) delivers a 14% boost in BMR, which is 467% that of Ephedrine's 3%.
i.e. you can only increase BMR so much until your core temperature just goes out of control and you cook yourself from the inside out, no matter how many fluids you ingest.
I have personally done 10mg/Kg for 5 days, and while VERY uncomfortable, it was not life threatening at all because I knew what i was doing. As probably in all things.
And while 2,4, Dinitrophenol is a component in TNT, it is also used as a food dye as it stains things yellow. Its is FDA approved for this purpose btw. Goes to show what a BS organization the FDA is.
