DNP and Hypothyroidism

Would it be safe for someone with hypothyroidism to use DNP or could using DNP end up causing thyroid disease?

I don't have it, but I know a couple of people that have it in remission but still carry some of the weight they had gained. Would DNP be too dangerous for them to experiment with because it messes with the hormone levels so much?

Have you ever heard of any cases where DNP caused someone's thyroid to do a backlash? or does the the body always just go right back to normal with normal cycling?

Nope and,

DNP impairs T4-T3 conversion in the liver due to the excessive
heat. As soon as the DNP is dicontinued, T4-T3 conversion
resumes as before.
