Has anyone ever done one of these DNA/Ancestry searches?

Looking into my family tree and the DNA search seems pretty cool (Unless it comes back with information I dont like) $150 is a lotta money for it though.

K to you for creating the thread, I'd never heard of such a thing. Which one were you looking at? This is the one I found, the cheap package is $119:

I'd actually like to do something like that, particularly for my father, nobody's been able to trace our ancestry beyond the very late 1700s. It would be kind of interesting.
