Okay the tsunami is a terrible human loss.
I feel for those who experienced it and had their lives ripped apart. Especially the children.
But how much have we sent to those overseas victims in aid and how many relief fund organizations have been set up in this country?
Now contrast that to those victimized by the hurricanes in this country. How many funds were set up for them?
What percentage of the money sent overseas would be required to build shelters, education programs and aid programs to help those in need in this country.
Don't get me wrong, we were right in sending aid. But why are they more important than those in our own country? Take care of our own first I think. Still send aid but keep the majority in house to help our own countrymen out first.
Does this thinking make me selfish or just an asshole for speaking my mind?
