Disappointed by The Dark Knight Rises

I wanted to love it, but didn't. I could give reasons, and perhaps will, but all details aside, the movie just didn't have an impact for me. Entertaining enough, but rather uninspired.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I had to get this off my chest.

I agree, too long, not enough impact

Reminded me of prometheus in the way i wanted to love it but was just very frustrating

Fuckin Prometheus..... had high hopes for that one. Didn't answer shit, better get a sequel.

The whole climbing out of the pit thing bothered me... maybe they just showed too much of it.
The twist wasnt bad on who actually got out but the rope and the one jump no one could make... huh? And a 3' tall child pulls it off but not batman. Kinda fishy.

I liked it...and I liked the climbing out of the pit; it represented the importance of will and the need to embrace fear at times (the rope being what caused people to fail due to lack of adrenaline was quite clever).

See and I thought it was less focused, and more inspiring from a personal perspective for Bruce Wayne as a character. I think of this trilogy as kind of a people's story (The Dark Knight) that's bookended by Bruce Wayne/Batman's personal life (Begins, Rises).

This last one had to juggle more plot points, and was the end, which had two things working against its favor from the get-go.

Who fucking cares if you didn't like it

Im pacing since finding out about the new total recall movie. Nice have to copy the legend life.
Colin Farel what a fucking toolbag
Fuck im pissed at that movie

No shit man...if no one says 2 weeks I will fucking snap...I don't care who says it

I really enjoyed it, but it definitely had too much going on to flow properly. I think it'd have to be a 6 hour long movie to be "properly" done. Bain's a badass though.

I can see your point about the Bruce Wayne character.

I watched it last night with the missus & feel the same way about it, just like Prometheus.

Admittedly I've only seen The Dark Knight & not it's prequel so the second installment in the trilogy to me is just an awesome stand alone film. All this shit about the league of shadows etc... what the fuck...

When everything was conveniently falling in to place at the end at the expense of any form of plot I felt like I'd been robbed just like in Prometheus, drawn in & then expected cough up for the probable sequels.

Tom Hardy's Bane was bad ass though, dude is getting swole.

The sad thing is TDKR is the best summer cinema has to offer as well :(

the new Bourne flick could be good. I'll give Jeremy Renner a shot. I prefer him to Matt Damon in that kind of role.
