digestive tract cleansing

I beleive that`s what it`s called. There was something advertised that cleans you out. I forget the name. I was hoping that it would be better for digestion of foods you eat afterwards.

Do they come in pills? Liquids? I don`t think they`re just diuretics. Would they be beneficial?

haha, sounds like a GREAT late night infomercial to me. I believe Hansel is right, it might be 'colon cleanse'

It would probably be cheaper just to eat lots of fiber for a couple of days, like 70 grams or so. It will clean you out for sure.

That's a good question.

I've been thinking about trying to find a non-stimulatory digestive cleanser (i.e. not senna, etc.) that doesn't rely on a bulk-forming softener like fiber. Well, aside from milk of magnesia, because I've not had success with that. If anyone has any experiences with one, please share. ;-)

I'll check a local health food store this weekend and report back if I find anything interesting.

OK I got the name. "Puristat" It was on all the local radio stations around here. I asked about it before but got no responses.

I still don`t know what it is, It just sounded good.

A healthy diet with adaquate fiber intake. You could replace the good bacteria in the colon with some yogurt.

I've tried enemas many times and the results have not been any different as if I would have just went naturally.
