do i have this right?....clomid stimulates the release of LH and FSH from the pituitary which in turn stimulate the ley dig cells the cells in the testicles which produce testosterone. HCG mimics LH but has little effect in causing the release of more FSH and LH (folicle stimulating hormone, and luetinizing hormone)

Clomid block estrogen receptors at the pituitary and hypothalamus thus helping in GnRH release from the hypothalamus and and LH release from the pituitary.

HCG mimics natural LH

Pretty much. But it's HCG not HCH and it tends to inhibit natural recovery of LH.

Yes that is why it is not best to use it post cycle with clomid but during a cycle when LH is already inhibited.

Okay, I get the part about using HCG mid-cycle to help with gonadal mass. But it doesnt really do anything to help with the actual shutdown. It sure doesnt help with the pituitary situation and other than making the boys a little beafier it doesnt help out there either (if you are careless it can make things worse even). So far no disagreement.

But, what is the acutal PROBLEM with running it post cycle, but before clomid? I dont see one. Sure you might delay the completion of the recovery, but by running HCG for a couple of weeks you will ensure you have at least recovered "size" and you will produce some natural test for a couple of weeks AND here's the advantage for me: I think the further out that you can push the END of the clomid therapy the better off you will be. I worry about ending clomid while still having a little exogenous test (too little to work but still enough to inhibit LH again). Afterall, isn't it the lack of testicular mass that's the biggest hurdle to recovery? Doesnt LH tend to rebound fairly nicely in just a few weeks?

LH almost always recovers fast. Its the small testes that don't respond well to LH that inhibits recovery bro. Thats why it is best to get the boys up to size before coming off.

HCG post cycle can be inhibitory because test production can really go up......so by taking it after a cycle with clomid it tends to inhibit LH.

You certainly could take it while you are waiting for steroid levels to fall after the last shot and before clomid. At this time androgen levels are still too high for LH recovery. Once androgen levels have dropped to the point where the hypothalamus is telling the pituitary to start making LH then its best not to avoid HCG.

You will still recover if you use HCG latter on but you'll have to wait until the test production form the HCG falls to the point were natural lH starts up...

Hope this makes sence..
