Difference between ALA and R-ALA

what are the main differences between ALA and R-ALA
I checked my multi vit and mineral pills and they have 10mg of ALA in them. Is this a good amount?

basically as i understand it, r-ala has a variety of roles in the body, increases insulin sensitivity etc

it seemed to suggest s-ala is just good as an antioxidant

10mg of regular ALA is enough for an annorexic termite. Bare minimum doses of r-ALA and ALA for antioxidant purposes should be closer to 300-500mg, respectively.
