Well, for one, you have all of these fats and proteins, but I don't see a listing for how many carbs you plan to take in. Also why the hell is there so much damn chocolate syrup???

This diet needs some serious work.

1. For one, too much sugar (pop tarts and choco syrup)

2. Where is the oatmeal, potatoes, rice, and other vegetables?

3. What about the lean red meat, chicken, and eggs?

4. There is not enough wholesome basic foods in this diet.

Remember, your body needs a variety of foods and slow burning carbs and complete proteins.

Make it simple by including:

Meal#1
4 eggs
1/2 cup oatmeal w/ raisins
1 cup orange juice
1 pack multimineral vitamins

Meal#2
1 weight gainer shake (homemade or store bought)
1 piece of fruit

Meal#3
2 Turkey sandwiches with lettuce and tomato
1 banana
1 cup of low fat yogurt

Meal#4
1 weight gainer shake (homemade or store bought)
1 piece of fruit

Meal#5
1 chicken breast
1 baked potato
1 dinner roll
1/2 cup steamed vegetables or tossed salad

Meal#6
1 bowl of ironhead pudding (refer to diet board)

Other important steps:

- Learn how to cook
- Always and I mean always get up earlier to eat breakfast
- prepare your meals ahead of time
- get a George Foreman Grill
- drink plenty of water throughout the day

Most of all

KEEP THINGS SIMPLE!!
remained dedicated and stick to your training and diet program.

Meal 2 and 3 are in school. I'll start making sandwiches and bringing them, that's fine. But what do I do in terms of meal 2, the weight gainer? Why buy a weight gainer anyway? Wouldn't it be better to get protein shakes or something?

Any reason for raisins mixed with the oatmeal?

How much do multi-vits cost, and how many come in a container (i'm assuming 1 is a serving)

Isn't there ANYTHING I can substitue for eggs? I honestly HATE THEM. Can't stand them, not one bit.

Will all that stuff add up to enough calories?

Why are sugars that bad for you? The pop tarts were only added as a means of extra calories.

This is a great point. . .especially since you are at school. If you can, carry around food that you can eat between your classes. If you have the money, purchase a few Met-RX bars. They are loaded with protein and carbs, plus they are pretty small. They are typically $1.97 at Wal-Mart. You could easily eat one of these during a 5 to 10 minute break. If you can drink a protein shake, then this would be fine. If your schedule is too busy, then wait until lunch. You can always have a flexible eating schedule.

Raisins will add flavor and texture to oatmeal. They are also loaded with fiber, carbohydrates, and iron.

You can go to your local Wal-Mart Supercenter or grocery store and pick up a bottle for around $13 to $15.

If this is the case, maybe you can prepare sausages (they contains some saturated fat). You can also double your servings on skim milk or you can drink a protein shake. I know that a lot of people cannot tolerate eggs, but there are always good alternatives.

Will all that stuff add up to enough calories?

It may or may not. . . you can always use trial and error. You can always add extra food or subtract food. The diet I proposed merely set an example of an eating schedule. It displays the variety of food. . .of course you can create something that works for you. At your age, your metabolism is fast so eating a lot of calories is essential especially if you want muscle growth.

Why are sugars that bad for you? The pop tarts were only added as a means of extra calories.

Pop tarts yield very little nutrition. You want eat foods that contain complex carbs a source that will give you sustained energy. Simple sugars are known to give short energy bursts, but then there is a chance of an immediate energy crash when this source of energy is used up. Foods with a high content of sugar can throw your blood sugar way off. This is not healthy. If you want to add extra calories, I might suggest that you add Medium Chain Triclyceride Oils to your diet. This is a healthy unsaturated fat. Each tablespoon yields 120 calories of healthy fat (run a search on this).

I hope some of this helps

Remember, at your age you are growing so eat all you can. When you eat make the best selections as possible.

Good nutrition will take you far. A good diet will enahnce your mental and physical abilities and will allow you to recuperate must faster.

Yep, thanks guys. Going to buy a George Foreman Grill very soon. XL size, cooks a max of 6 burgers or something. Plenty for me. Now, just to find something to eat at school and I'll be set. I can make myself sandwiches... maybe I'll just bring like four sandwiches and eat them for meals 2 AND 3...

By the way, are those any raisins in particular, Louden? Or can I go buy those "Sun Maid" ones?

Louden, or anyone... where can I get a good weight gainer shake? I looked on www.netrition.com -- they were damn expensive! Like 10 servings for $30 or something? That's ridiculous.

Why a piece of fruit with the weight gainer shake?

keep it simple...i read all your posts man

just eat beef, chicken, eggs, oatmeal, potatoes, rice, MILK
you WILL grow. You do NOT need anything fancy...how many times do people have to tell you that? Screw weight gainer, have some protein shake mixed with milk and PB.

you change your routine around alot too...COMPOUND MOVEMENTS.

thats it man...just listen to what people tell you for ONCE. you question so much stuff and you just do whatever you want anyway.

Actually, I'm trying to listen to what people are telling me now, maybe too much. Notice I'm asking about weight gainers, when I never cared for them before -- but because Louden recommended them, I wanted to look into it more? Maybe I'm just taking into account what people say too much.

They'd be cold... I mean, it's not that bad but still.

Eh, I dunno. I'll have to find some way around this all. Dammit, bulking fuckin' pisses me off! It was so much easier when I didn't eat anything at all... -_-

They'd be cold... I mean, it's not that bad but still.
Can't be so picky dude... you wanna gain size, you gotta eat stuff thats gunna make you grow... weather its hot or cold...

Yes, true, true.

I just can't get it through my head that I need to make it simple. =P

If I burn more than I eat, I will still make gains right?

Just eat as much as you can..
Your young and a beginner so you are gunna make gains regardless of how shitty your diet is.... now if you want to maximize those gains, eat like a horse... Just EAT EAT EAT.... if you notice your putting on a little bodyfat and you don't want to, cut your calories down a couple hundred a day....
Some really basic shit to follow and you will see results
1)Stick to your program for at LEAST 6 weeks... minute changes are fine but stick to one thing, dont swap between body weight, then 5x5 then WSB
2)Eat your face off.... your young so you can get away with pop tarts, but they really aren't going to do you any good... Try to get good shit in your system, complex carbs, proteins, healthy fats etc...
3)Get lots of snoozing actions in! Sleep until you feel rejuvenated...

If you just do these 3 things, yes, just these 3 things, you are going to get good results... The stress you are causing yourself worrying about exact calories is probably going to cause negative effects on your gains and your nervice system...

Thanks

Haha, yes. Very much a negative effect. Thanks, I think the nail has about been hammered in to the head now. =P Just one more li'l tap and we're there. I'm gonna go eat. ^^
