Diet cola while cutting ???

I didn't cut diet pop tell 10 days before my comp. Yes it cause you to hold some water but nothing that can't de dropped with in a few days with correct manipulation.

A diet coke has 50mg of sodium... that's nothing to worry about, unless you're competing.

Don't worry about the sweeteners in diet coke, worry about your teeth and your esophagus.

Only has 2kcal per 30ml. Will the artificial sweeteners be detrimental to your results?
You should worry about the sweeteners they put into diet products. Like diet pop. Aspartamine or whatever you call it is very bad for your health. THere is an article about it on one of the forums. There are even warnining labels on products containing the ingeridient.

There is absolutely no proof that aspartame will have harmful effects in the doses it is normally consumed at. True, certain people don't seem to react well to it, but all of those websites bashing it have no evidence at all behind their arguments.

Ta for all your input guys and gals. Holding water is not going to fuss me to be honest. I ask this because anything that tastes too good on a cutting diet I find is no good.

I'm not even touching dilluted ribena at the mo even though values state there is no sugar. Its 'no added sugar' but 9 times out of 10 this does'nt include the sugar that is actually added to start with.

Gee I love diets!!!!

K is on its way!!!!

As long as your getting your daily amount of water in, 1 gallon or plus, then a couple of diet sodas are fine, I never noticed them make any type of difference.

There are no "normal" doses. You'll go on a wild goos chase to find what those are.

No evidence? If FDA fails to approve a product for years and years because of it's unsafety, I'd say that's proof enough for me.

Chlorine is a known carcinogen and so are pesticides. We comsume the deadly chemicals (pesticides) which cannot be washed off because they penetrate the food. (This was posted at the newspaper years ago).

I hear the biggest concern is actually carbonation and not the aspartame or the cola or the caffeine or anything else.

If so, it applies just the same for people who drink carbonated water
