exactly. look, relationships aren't "cookie-cutter", different things work for different people. i've been in plenty of relationships where the girl wanted to know everything whether she asked me or not. those obviously didn't work FOR ME. i'm also not saying that i hide things that i think she won't like. you treat your spouse with the same respect you think you deserve. if i screw up and she doesn't know about it, then i'll tell her. it's better that way. but you should know your significant other well enough to know what would bother her and what she could care less about. if something happens that would bother her then i don't wait to tell her, but that sort of thing rarely happens. i just happened to be lucky enough to find someone as laid back as i am.
