I thought that game was bullshit! They deserved to have lost that night after dominating them from the first and 2nd half....I can't believe this......to have it in there hands then give it away.....just watching the grins on both shaq and kobe made me sick to my stomach......PURE BULLSHIT!!!
Clear case of jealousy. Shaq has been my favorite player for years, why are you ripping on him- I think its because nobody can guard him and he whips your favorite team and players. Its just a fun basketball thread-no reason to rip me personally. Who's top 10 list? By the time Shaq is finished he will be top 10 on EVERYONES LIST!

Sorry if you took it personally with respect to your "why are you ripping on me" comment, thats not the case, I was stating an obvious fact, Shaq's skills are garbage, his size is what dominates, move the basket from 10 feet to 11 feet and he would be nothing, yet others would still be able to play because they have actual motor skills and athleticism. To be honest, Shaq should be averaging about 55 - 60 points a game at the least, yet his Jolly Green Giant disposition and skill keeps him at the usual bullshit that other NBA players average. Basketball is my first love, I know it well, very well, when you said "he is the best ever" you were stating something that is farthest from the truth. You said "by the time Shaq is finished he will be on everyones top 10", actually he is getting worse. peace

I gotta disagree with you on this one too brother. The comparison of "then" and "now" is a little bit vague. To be fair to Wilt, if he were competing with Shaq, Duncan, or Patrick Ewing/Hakeem/ D. Robinson (a decade ago), an athlete of Wilt's stature would have risen to that level or above.
Wilt wasn't just a 7-1 guy in an era of small, slow white guys. In addition to being a gifted basketball player, he was a college All-American in Track and Field (unheard of among big men these days) and excelled at several other sports, inclusing tennis and boxing. He was a true freak of nature.
To be fair, he'd have been at least as good as David Robinson (before Karl Malone elbowed him into his twilight) which meant 25ppg 10 rpg.

Shaq broke his wrist when he was a little kid. Therefore he can't bend his wrist back very compared to normal people. Add this to the fact that his hands are so huge it's like he's holding a softball and you have the reason why he can't shoot FT's very well.
I'm with Havok on Hakeem, that dude was a bad ass. I think he ended up with like 2 or 3 quadruple doubles in his career. I'm glad he got a chance to win 2 titles.

Hakeem was a manchild in the prime of his career. He was great. I miss that. As for best ever, i think the majority of people concur its Bill Russell, Chamberlain or Jabaar. Personally, i wasn't around so i can't say. From what i know though, Russell by far seems to be the best center of all time, he has the numerous rings to prove it.
As for shaq. Saying he is the most fundamentally unsound player is a bit much too. He is actually quite athletic, and like said before, has become a pretty good passer. Personally, im not a shaq fan. I think he is a clumsy, crybaby, and overall not a true "good player." The league is up his ass and lets him do whatever he wants (countless offensive fouls). Call offensive fouls on shaq like they are in the book, he would foul out every game in the first half. Granted he gets fouled a lot too, but thats just because he can bowl over everyone (not allowed for other fellas) and dunk on them, there is no other choice. He is more talented now then he was i think, and there are much worse players in the league, but he definitely is not as polished as someone that has been in the league this long should be.

shaq doesn't need to be fundamentally unsound. He is dominant. Look at his numbers, especially last year when his toe wasn't as bothersome. He averaged over 5 assists per game. Pretty damn good if you ask me.

2) bibby's game is solid. he may not score as many points while being guarded by kobe, but he will get everyone else involved. the kings need a big game from christie, and need vlade to remain consistent if they hope to win.
