Usually if there's a problem with it someone lets you know and gives you a chance to change it before they take it down.

apparently some of the mods feel a bit like god sometimes and make the rules as they go or customize them to how they feel at any particular moment. :rolleyes:

all of us should keep in mind that we post in the forums from the office and at work, infront of our kids/siblings too.

When I am with my little siblings I play it safe and stear clear of EF.

Some avis are way too much.

btw, whiskey's was changed for him too. (not by me, although he and i spoke about it. Sorry whisky, i thought a black bar would suffice)

What I don't understand, is I've seen worse in certain threads. Those pics went way beyond "Maxim" status.
 
Ill say this much Id rather lil ones see sexyness then crime murder, you know everything on TV now in days what is bad for them killing somone or kissing somone, Love and pz or Kill KILL 187. It seems that some one would rather thare kids lissen to 50 cent then lets say ohhhm Anigma or Shakira....Im sure you all get my lil point............ no hard feelings
 
For those of you who didn't get the memo first time around...

Your avatar and your sig appear in every post you made, in every board here, retroactively. That means they have to be acceptable in ANY board we run.

The folks who want to experiment with Chat being the "everything goes" board have it exactly backwards - CHAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE A BOARD YOU CAN GLANCE AT WHEN YOU'RE AT WORK = WORK-SAFE.

If you go to Between the Sheets with images turned on, you deserve whatever happens to you. That's (almost) anything goes and you should know better than to open it at work.

If you put a BtS pic up in Chat, we will take it down first and discuss afterward. Forget the bullshit about "glitches" and especially forget "why don't we talk about it" (hi, Tuc!) -- if you av disappears there was a reason for it. DO NOT put it back up without knowing what that reason was. Short form: TAKE THE HINT.

You can turn off sigs and avatars for your own viewing if you're super-sensitive; a few minutes of that should convince you that it's boring as hell, and it's damned inconsiderate of anyone to try to force other people to do that. THAT is why we do not allow you to use avatar or sig material that would put people in that position.

You say you're seeing an offensive avatar? Likely you're dealing with someone who never posts on Chat. Simple as that. If the nail doesn't stick up, it may not get pounded down, but I'm not playing favorites on this subject. If I drop by another board for some reason and someone has an avatar that doesn't fit this message, it's going to disappear just as suddenly.

Digger, mods, and anyone I offended....

Know this, I only put said avatar in question back up because I was under the impression that as long as the offensive area in question was covered up that it would be okay.

I hate to give in, but the rules are the rules and I don't want to be a trouble maker of sorts like tuc. "sorry tuc, had to say it."

Also, I understand that not everyone is in total privacy when they are on Elite and that some images might get them in trouble if they are at work. All I have to say about that is be carefull. You most likely aren't supposed to be on here at work anyways.

Also, if you are viewing EF with your kids around, you can't deny the fact that this is an adult site. An adult site that covers many topics ranging from drug use to nudity. Anyone and everyone that is a member of this site knows this. It is everyone's job to view Elite responsibly so that it doesn't get them in trouble.

You can't tell me that it shouldn't be that way either, that we should monitor what is said or shown so that a few can view it without problems at home or work, especially with all that is talked about on here.

BTW, this is just me blabbing away just saying my $0.02 I was just a little shocked when I got on today and found out I again had no avatar. I just think that it could have been done more "nicely."

Eh, in life, you'll have that.

Digger, could we have the ability to toggle images on and off forum-specific instead of globally?

thanks for the info digger.

I have avatars and sigs both turned off because one time someone at work commented that there was a chick in a bikini on my screen... that was the end of that.
