For what it is worth....

I have two pair of diamond studs (one's real - one is not) both are platinum - I have yet to run into someone that can tell the difference. The only way I can tell the difference is that one has screw on backs.

I never wear the real ones (go firgure) and I caught them cheap off a guy I know that bought them for his girl (until things didn't work out -and lucked out).

That said...

Man, I just bought my girl a engagement ring from Helzberg diamonds. I was wondering if i got a good deal or not. I paid $6000 for a beautiful 1 1/4 carat diamomd with a platinum band. I was thinking this was a lot of money, but all the other diamond shops were about twice as expensive. Man those things are overpriced, all for a sparkly rock.
