My wife was recently diagnosed with mild type 2 diabetes. We know that 90% of the population with type 2 is due to lack of exercise and being overweight, however, my wife and I are personal trainers, she is 5'7" and 125 lbs - she is obviously part of the 10% that have it for other reasons. When I'm on a cycle that includes insulin I've always taken massive doses of vanadyl sulfate and gotten MUCH better results oout of the insulin. My question is would vanadyl help her or is there anything else out there we don't know about that increases insulin sensitivity? Thanks guys, any input is greatly appreciated

She may greatly benefit from Glucophage; she may be suffering from insulin resistence. I assume that bloodwork was done. Glucophage is the drug of choice for Type II Diabetes.

I'm Diabetic myself, and as much as I'd like to comment on this, I really can't....Type 2 and in great shape, I'll bet it runs somewhere in her family...

I have read recently about a study done in Canada where children whose family had Diabetes in their family were given small dosages of Insulin each morning. It was found that it greatly reduced the stress on their own production and could prolong their own venture into this nasty disease......

I really think an Endo would be more benefical for this topic....

Anabolicdiabetic is another good Bro that has great insight in this area....

And I know you'll read this AD....E-mail me Bro....we need to chat about something....:)

Things that will help with insulin sensitivity: Vanadyl Sulfate is one but it can be toxic at high doses, Cinnamon, Ginseng, Alpha Lipoic Acid, and Chromium- although I believe I read a study about cancer being linked to high chromium levels. Those supps will help out alot but she still may need Glucophage or insulin. I'd go with low dose insulin rather than Glucophage but others will have difference preferences. Hope this helps, best wishes.

RANGER- Email on the way bro
