DHT & Finasteride experts.....

Dr. JK

New member
Will Proscar/Propescia help with DHT derivatives, like Proviron, Winny & Masteron?

Also, will it do anything for Finaplix??

Thanks in advance for your feedback

DR. JK

Finasteride is an enzyme bolcker. Since the enzyme plays the role of converting test to DHT at such sites as the hair folicles and prostate, it will have no usefullness when used with DHT derivatives.

propecia did nothing for me except killed my sex life and made my balls ache. finally started niz/spiro/azelic acid/minix 10 months ago and 95% of my hair has fcome back. i think propecia is good for natiral guys but not us who use. joe

Bulk King,

Finasteride acts as a DHT blocker, therefore blocking DHT action in the scalp. It does not block the conversion from test to DHT.

It is similar in it's way as Nolvadex, i.e. it blocks estrogen, but does nothing for the conversion. Proviron on the other have in the aromatase enzyme blocker.

Do DHT derivatives convert back to DHT?
If not then how do they contribute to MPB, i.e. DHT is suppoed to be the main cause of for MPB?

No, Finasteride blocks the conversion of test via 5-alpha reductase enzyme.

Proscar/Propecia will not help with hairloss from Fina. Trenbolone does not convert to DHT through the 5-alpha reductase enzyme; it's just an extremely strong androgen and can cause hairloss by itself.

Wrong. Bulk King was dead on.

Finasteride prevents the 5-AR enzyme from converting testosterone into DHT - period.

There are other compounds which inhibit androgen binding to receptor cites in the scalp, similar to how nolva blocks estrogen. Finasteride is not one of these.

I was recently referred to a product called Avodart in place of Propecia. Does anyone have any experience with it?

Do a search under the username buffdoc.

He goes into great detail explaining his thoughts on the 5ar reduction of Trenbolone. He even gives detailed descriptions of the molecular makeup of trenbolone and Nandrolone in regards to finasteride.

Guys,

Thanks for teh replies. I read up on it last night & agree with Bulk King, so therefore I retract my statment of the Finasteride being a DHT blocker.

However, I still don't understand how the DHT derivatives (Proviron, Masteron) contribute to hair loss. Is it cause they are still a strong adrogen with hair loss tendencies?

Thanks again guys
