I have tried DHEA and it didn't seem to do much for me except help me to sleep a little better. Im 50+ and the best thing I've found to help me in recovery was Glutamine. Take glutamine or L-glutamine on an empty stomach and if you have problems with digestion or wish to take it with a protein drink then use Glutamine peptides. I'd say it cut my recovery time by at least 1/3.
