It has been a minute since i used pure dextrose in PWO. i want 2 use about 40g with my whey shake. problem is i have been eating so clean for so long now that it tastes like i am drinking corn syrup....lol.

I dont want to dilute it any so that i can avoid having to drink something like 30oz versus 15oz. i am currently using vanilla flavored whey. i was thinking of adding something tart to it so it aint so damn sweet. i make my shakes a day or 2 ahead of time so whatever it is cant spoil quickly. I am also really not wanting to add a ton of cals either as I got the proportions pretty close to the way I need them.

Any ideas or other suggestions (besides waxy maize)?

I know needto got a chapter dedicated in his book to this.
 
I know it is not pure dextrose but what about powdered Gatorade(sucrose and dextrose). I currently mix two scoops of Lemon lime with 30 grams of BCAA and sip it while I workout. I know first hand that the orange flavored powder mixes good with vanilla whey. It taste like a Creamsicle. Peace.
 
Don't bother with 45g's or Dextrose. It takes 75g's to get the insulin response you want.
Waxy Maize it is 50g's. With Waxy Maize you want to take your BCAA's and Creatine with it and then 50g's of protein 20 minutes later. If you combine it with your protein it does not work as advertized.

i can't fuggin wait for my iso whey (apple!!!) and waxy maize to come in

i'm going to throw this tub of strawberry whey and malto powder out the fucking window
 
frozen strawberries sweetened w/splenda -- 50 cals a serving, 150 for the whole thing--does not taste sweet and kills the nasty vanilla flavor and prob the dextrose

I say waximaize,,,but you dont like that option? I would use dextrose as second option

for some reason i think it caused upset stomach. nothing else changed but that and as soon as it got added it was sick the rest of the day everyday.
 
you dont need dextrose...

you can use glycocarb by Interactive its matlodextin and 2grams of sugar per 40 grams of carbs it has insulin regulators in there as well such as ala

you can use oats as well raw oats in your shake...

or even rice cakes.
 
I used to use Dextrose, but switched to Malto. Heard it was better. Now everyone's talking about this Waxy Maize shit? WTF is that, and what is the difference?

I just got some sugar free juice powder and it mixes ok with my dextrose now. I will just drink it separate from my whey for a bit. I did order some WM and will give it another shot separate from the whey and see if that helps the stomach (which is weird bc WM is supposed to bypass this?).

So 45 grams of dex is pointless unless you hit 75 to achieve insulin spike? Never heard this before, doesnt it go by bodyweight anyway? Im around 180ish sometimes I only go 30-40 grams dex PWO
