dextrose&maltodextrin Post Workout?

Hey what do you guys think about adding dextrose & maltodextrin to my MM post work out? What do you guys think, huh? :qt:
 
MM?

maltodextrin + dextrose + whey protein is the "classic" post workout drink, if that's what you mean.
 
muscle milk?

as in, the stuff that is great for a meal replacement because it's high in fats?

no fats postworkout brohim.

straight high glycemic carbs and whey for immediately postworkout

save the muscle milk for an hour AFTER your fat-free high GI stuff postworkout.
 
Yeah, high fat and high sugar don't go together well. Your post workout shake should not have high fat. Just as a rule of thumb sugar + fat = :(
 
ya , you want to limit your fat intake PW.. your muscles will soak up everything (including fat) after working out... i just use dex and whey ( when i have money to buy them lol) and sometimes glut and creatine.
 
Help! I ran out of dextrose! My PWO shake usually consists of 46g protein, 46g maltodextrin, and 46g dextrose.

I can't get any more for ~1 week. Anything I can use as a replacement? Will I be ok without it?

I am looking more to find a quick replacement rather then go without it.
 
Well if I will be ok, then I can wait. I was under the impression the dextrose was needed for the insulin spike. (sorry for the hijack)
