That dude is the worst thing that could have happened to the city. I wish Archer wouldn't have stepped down.
 
Anything is better then what Detroit has...so many things have gone under since he has been around it is really sad
 
I thought the whole city of Detroit was a zoo. I tell you, I've been there twice and I've never experienced a city so creepy. A guy tried to run over me with his SUV while I was crossing the street. He even had to swerve into the wrong lane to get to me. I was going to a football game and was wearing a visiting team jersey. There was just something about it, like there was just hostility in the air. Not to mention that half of the people that get arrested in my hometown are from Detroit.

I'm sorry if I offended any of you that live there. My hometown isn't the greatest place in the world to live either. It's just that on my first trip to Detroit I was pretty excited about it and I had much higher expectations. It left me very disappointed. Oh well, Windsor is pretty cool.

I don't but I remember taking field trips as a kid, and I liked it. Now the little childrens are gonna have to go someplace else instead...like Maybe Ford Field. "This is where our team sucks...over there, you see the end zone...no Lion has ever been there...any questions?"

the "Detroit" Zoo is in Royal Oak. but the city of Detroit still controls it...

i dunno, i went to the zoo this summer... the penguin exhibit is EXACTLY as it was 20 plus years ago when i went with school... the only halfway decent thing was the polar bears...

man, we're like the murder capital of the universe, and crime in general. per capita, we do only one thing right. and that's break the law. you also have to have a person in charge with a mind. one that's thinking towards progress. this dude is just making himself money and opportunity.

Wow. I thought I was the only one on this site from detroit. Me being a welder the shops are becoming more and more competitive. Makes are wages go down and lay-offs are common. Its nev r a big deal with me because I am just part time due to the fact I am a full time student. But with the big 3 in big trouble its going to really mess up our city. Kilapatric.....only in detroit would we let that dumbass get the job back again. And with the Zoo I havent went in years but was thiking of taking a girl I have been talkin to for a date there.....guess not. I dont know how we are going to get outta this mess.

Detroit had 2 million people back in the 50s. Its a cold shit hole now.
 
I live in the burbs. They are nice. Some places real nice. Detroit is a funny place. I live 15 min away in a white suburban middle class area. I can drive and in 20 min I can take a cruise down gratiot and be at some crack houses. Then again if I go north for 20 Min i can go hunting at Bald Mountain. Then if I just go 20 min eat I can be on lake St Clair on the water at Harisons Island, Jobie Nooners, Muskamoo Bay(Big Parties on boats.) I love it to be honest. I love it. It just depends what I wanna do that day. Get a cheap bag of weed, Go party on a boat, go hunting with my dog, or just go play ball at the park. Havent done the weed thing in years though....
 
detroit is odd like that... but it's also the poorest major city in america... and yet, it's expensive as hell to live due to the wages of the big three.

i'm applying out of state but i worry about the mom... she's a ford worker with only 10 years in, so if/when she gets teh boot she is going to be hurting something fierce.

the burbs are ok, i go between the city and the burbs all day. i live on the fringe of Detroit. actually, i live in Grosse Pointe Park. but where my building ends, the city of Detroit begins. but the crime leaks out into the burbs. if you put up a wall round detroit, the burbs crime rates would plummet.
 
Some of the buddies I used to go to High school with are part of that problem. Heroin is getting outta control in the burbs.....ITS BLOWING UP. It will make news soon. I knew the female from New Baltimore that just was murdered this last weekend...brother dated her way back. Its a shame.
 
The thing that always amazed me is that they voted that scum bag back it.....well don't bitch about him if you voted for him.....detroit has some great history to it but the animlas are destroying it and killing themselfs off as we speak

Not bad. Every town seems to have a "bad area" but I like madison Heights. Warren is DEF the next place to become ghetto. I hate warren, cops are lieing currupt sacks of shit.
 
the heights is just a step above hazel park... if even a step up, could be about the same seeing as we are a road away.
