Dermovan Cream

I'm attempting to make the spiro cream, and I wasn't able to find Dermovan cream at my pharmacy. The pharmacist suggested a simple cream (Glaxal base) which they use for mixing pills. So I grinded up the spiro into a fine powder and mixed it with this cream.

Will this work as well as the Dermovan cream? Or is there some sore of special delivery agent in the Dermovan?

Here's some info I was ableto gather from different sources

2002-02-11 22:48:30 I know how. I got the formula from a hair loss Guru on a hair loss forum. Get some Dermovan cream. www.msdepot.com sells 16 oz for less than $20! Buy some aldactone. Tell your doc what you are going to do and he will give you a prescription. You can also buy it over the net. Crush 100mg of pills, or grind them up in a small electric coffee grinder...you know the ones with the liitle blade that spins like crazy. he he he Mix the powder in 2 oz of cream and this makes 3% spiro. Plenty of studies saying 2% is great and Dr. Lee sells 5% but it is too highly priced IMO. The powder melts well in the dermovan cream. Keep it in the fride. Cut your hair short and apply it to the scalp..rub it in especially where you are loosing hair. best done in AM and before bed. Before bed is enough for most. It does not smell. I think everyone should be using it as we all receed with age and I think roids will speed that up a little.

Ed Klien.. correction to formula 2002-02-11 22:57:09I made an error on the formula. You use 600mg of Aldactone with 2 oz of cream. Not 100mg!!!


for Flutamide
crush 10 tablets of flutamide up and dissolved into a minoxidil solution of 60 mls and used twice a day. . Flutamide comes in 250 mg tablets



I just made some using demovan and ground up spironolactone tabs. I work in a lab so I believe his calculations are off. The cream comes in ounces, so one can just measure out 125ml(with a large syringe) and add 50mg to make a 5% solution. you can add MUCH MORE ground up spiro to be safe(That's what i did).
