Depression concerns-post juice

New member
I am thinking about starting my first cycle very soon. Not sure what yet but perhaps something like sust and whinny for 10 weeks. My question to everyone is that I have a family history of depression and metnal illness (cousins, aunts, and uncles, no immediate family) and I was wondering if that might make me more prone to crashing hard once I come off. If so, how could I combat this? I know this is hard to say because alot depends on type of gear, dosages, etc...I was just wondering if anyone might have a similar situation. Any info would be useful.
Similarly I also have a scary history of heart disease and cancer in my family (closely related.) Would these factors weigh against me in any way or am I just being a paranoid little bitch?
These are some of the concerns I wanted to clear up as much as possible before I start.

LOL your a paranoid biotch......... I think the hardest point for me was my first week of clomid then I am a winey biotch. I think if you are not a manic depressive right now you should be all right. A lot of bros on here put up threads about being depressed during post therapy.thats what we are here for..to help pull everyone through it. Others don't get depressed at all.

My advice is, be prepared for depression, even if you turn out to be fine. I find that if I understand why I'm feeling a bit down I can deal with it, safe in the knowledge that the feeling will pass.

By taking gear, you're manipulating hormone levels so depression is a very real possibility. I often experience a low a few months post-cycle but have learnt to cope. As T20 says use the board for support, you won't be alone and all the good bro's here will help to lift you up and motivate you.

Additionally I find regular cardio (doesn't need to be too intense) really helps to boost my mood, those natural endorphin highs are great.

I agree with sig.....I am always upbeat.....never down....except after a cycle....especially extended cycle......its not that I am depressed just bluer than normal....But I can DEFINATELY tell the difference.

And as Sig has said....cardio works very well for me post cycle

Depresion usually occurs at times when androgens / estrogen level are significantly off of balance. This is most common at times when anabolics steroid are discontinued (post cycle) During this period estrogen levels may be elevated and a deeply endogenous test level ocurred, so a good ancillary post cycle regimen is a good weapon against that. Of course, it all depend of dosage and kind of AAS that you used.
In relation to heart disease and cancer I think that dont wory much about that, you know the amount the gear that pros use and they are alive. It depend of amount of gear. Be moderate in that and no problem.

I never notice any difference, but I have always been a stable person for the most part. The clomid does not even make me feel any different, but as was said earlier, you are fucking with your hormones. When you mess with your hormones you can play with your mental state.

As a couple of other bros have already said, 30 min. of cardio in the morning will improve your mood all day. I am in my second week off of an 8-week cycle of tren right now and I feel fine. Be careful not to talk yourself into a depression post cycle. If you decide in advance that you're probably going to be depressed then you may make it worse. Another thing you can try is some 5-HTP. It helps regulate serotonin levels in your brain and puts you in a pretty good mood. It's also pretty cheap ($10 or so). L-Tyrosine may also help out mentally post cycle. Good Luck bro!

LOL put it this way Post cycle helps me to understand the female mood swings

if you have both ores in the water normally you shouldnt have any problems. If your normally depressed , OCD etc etc etc then my opinion is you are someone who should not use AAS.

T,

I'm glad to see that you being careful in your research before starting. You are correct in worrying about depression, its a serious disease that kills.

If I were you I would carefully examine your reasons for juicing. The smart thing may be to take longer to get large or lowering your goals. You can look great with juice (assuming vanity your reason).

If you do decide to continue and juice, start with short cycles and mild doses. But think seriously about going natural. Gear can feed both mania and depression. Why take the chance?

Whatever you choose, good luck!

shit -im depressed now and im on a cycle. my gains have been shitty as hell

Thanks for the awesome advice to everyone that posted. I appreciate it and feel that I now know what to expect coming off my cycle (for the most part). As for the cardio it is a must for me anyway because I am trying to cut up a little, and it will obviously be crucial to keep it up. Once again thanks. I will keep you posted.
